How Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy Can Help with Male Pelvic Pain
Pelvic pain might be more common than you think among men. Research shows that 35%–50% of the male population is likely affected by pelvic pain during their lifetime. It is acute if it is sudden and severe. It is chronic if it lasts 3 or more months.
Men Tend to Avoid Medical Care
It is well known that men avoid medical care. In a recent study, 72% of men surveyed said they would rather clean the bathroom than see their doctor.
When men do show up for pelvic floor physical therapy for male pelvic pain, they too often don’t get the help they need. The truth is that treating pelvic pain requires advanced training and know-how. We have that know-how.
